Hi, I’m Cam Secore.

If you want someone who holds back on the truth because they’re afraid of getting blacklisted by big tech companies, my blog isn’t for you.

If you want someone who gets paid big bucks to promote the hottest trend (regardless of whether or not it’s actually good), my blog isn’t for you.

If you want someone who doesn’t actually use the products they write about, my blog isn’t for you.

But…

If you want authentic reviews from someone who doesn’t have to answer to anyone, I made this blog for you.

Who am I?

I'm here to cut through the noise. In a world where tech reviewers are often swayed by sponsorship and brand pressures, I stand apart. I’m a 31-year-old entrepreneur with a lifelong passion for tech, unbound by conventional job constraints, and dedicated to delivering raw and authentic reviews.

The Journey So Far

In 2016, I had recently graduated Keene State College with a business degree and I wasn't sure what to do with my life. I had money saved, and no intentions of working for anyone. So started a blog called Power Moves. I wanted a place to brag about my new tech purchases. It turns out that having a tech blog was an easy justification for buying way more tech gear than I needed.

Fortunately, readers resonated with my in-depth analysis and authentic reviews and this blog went from a fun hobby to a sustainable business. My reviews are on my YouTube channel too!

What’s Next for Power Moves?

I made my name for buying smart home tech and mesh routers, but I don't want to be bound to any specific category. I'll just continue to buy products that intrigue me, use them in my everyday life, and then provide my honest take to the internet.

During the winter, I tested the Apple Vision Pro for a few weeks, and I took a ton of notes, but haven't written a blog post yet. The tech was amazing, but the discomfort, combined with not being able to do much with it, left me to return it to Apple.

There are a few products that I've got my eye on though. I'm excited to try the new Eight Sleep Pod 4, which I recently preordered. I also bought EGO Power+ battery-powered lawnmower. I've only ever used gas-powered lawn mowers, so this will be an interesting test, but I don't know if it'll turn into a review. The Dyson Submarine (the dry and wet vacuum) looks great too, but do I really want to make a career out of making vacuum reviews?

Another thing I'm thinking about: I recently moved into a larger house than I'm used to and I'm questioning my entire smart home setup. For example, now I have two thermostats, four entry doors, and too many rooms to have smart lights in all of them. I'm starting to see the value in a robot vacuum too. I might make a post on my new setup once I think through things.

Affiliate Note

I'm not affiliated with any of the products that I review on this blog. I always purchase them out of my own pocket to ensure that my reviews are unbiased. However, as an Amazon Affiliate, I earn a small commission (usually between 1-4%) on some purchases made through the links in my posts. These commissions help support my blog by allowing me to buy new products and produce reviews independently.
